Airline Lounges
Airline lounges are numbered uniquely and indicated by black
signs. There is also an information map available for more
accuracy.
Baby Care/Children's Facilities
On Holland Boulevard are accommodated baby rooms provided
with cots available daily from 6.00 a.m. to 10.00 p.m. Ladies'
room can be used for changing dippers.
Baggage Depot
The airport is provided with baggage lockers located in
various areas of the terminal. The maximum period admitted
for baggage storage is 168 hours at €5.00 to €9.00
every 24 hours, depending on the size of the locker.
Check-In Desks
Departure halls and Schiphol Plaza are accommodated with
monitors that display departure schedule and check-in desk
numbers. In every departure hall there are self-service
check-in facilities, but for more accuracy you can priory
check your airline's participation in the self-service check-in
program.
Changing Money
Foreign currency can be exchanged in ABN-AMRO bank's branches
located in Departure Lounges 1, 2 and 3 or at the GWK Travelex
office at Schiphol Plaza, in Departure Lounge 1 and in Arrival
Halls 1, 2 and 3.
Escorting Passengers
If you are or travel with disabled persons and need assistance,
you should require it in advance at the airport staff. Members
of the personnel or a personal assistant will be designated
to escort you until departure.
Facilities for the hard of hearing
If you are or accompany a hard of hearing person, you should
know that most of the check points and information desks
are provided with a hearing loop. In order to work, the
hearing aid must be adjusted to "T".
Flight Information
Monitors placed all around Schiphol Airport display essential
information about flights, recent schedule modifications
etc. However, further details can be found or double checked
on www.schiphol.nl or consulting Teletekst.
Imports, Exports and VAT
VAT tax refunding, importations and exportations of goods
can be arranged at the Custom's Office located in the Departure
Hall 2. Further details can be obtained by visiting www.belastingdienst.nl/douane
or by calling the number 0800-0143 or +31(0)455743031 (calling
outside the Netherlands).
Information Desks
Information desks are located in Departure and Arrival areas,
where most needed. Arrival Halls 2 and 3, Departure Halls
1, 2 and 3 as well as Departure Lounges 1, 2 and 3 are all
provided with information desks.
Information Kiosks
Inside the terminal there are placed self-service information
kiosks offering information on flights and airport. At these
kiosks, you can find maps to help you make your way around
the airport.
Information Maps
Maps with guiding information are available at the beginning
of each pier and in the Arrival and Departure areas, Departure
Lounges.
Lost and Found
Any information regarding lost and/or found items can be
reported at the information desks accommodated in arrival
and departure areas in the airport. The staff will preserve
all handed in belongings until their rightful owner requests
them.
Medical Service
The Medical Service in Schiphol Airport is located on the
top floor of Departure Lounge 2, above check-in desk 16.
The medical Service is also indicated by a "First Aid"
sign. It is available non-stop. You should turn to the Airport
Medical Service for first aid interventions or medication.
Meditation Centre
On the top floor of Holland Boulevard is located the Meditation
Centre, destined for prayer and spiritual exploration, irrespective
of the religion, nationality, faith etc. Meditation Centre
is open daily from 06.00 a.m. to 11.00 p.m.
Meeting Point
Schiphol Plaza centrally houses the Meeting Point signified
by "Coda", a red and white art piece.
Police
At the Schiphol Plaza, Dutch border police has located a
Marechaussee station, which is also responsible for passport
control in the terminal. In case of emergency or need, you
can call the police station at +31(0)20-603 82 22.
Porter Service
For heavy or numerous luggages, porter assistance can be
asked for at the service pillars located in front of the
departure hall and the baggage belts. You can get someone
to help you with your luggage daily from 06.15 a.m. till
10.45 p.m.
Smoking
There are designated areas in the airport where smoking
is allowed, such as bars and restaurants. Other than that,
smoking is forbidden.
Transfer Desks
The big yellow signs in the airport displaying "transfer"
indicate transfer desks where passengers can pick up their
boarding card for their next flight. Transfer desks are
numbered from T2 to T9 and the number of your transfer desk
is displayed on the monitors inside the terminal.
Vaccination Centre
The Vaccination Centre is marked by "First Aid"
signs in the Schiphol Plaza. General information about the
Vaccination Centre is available at Traveler's Information
Line 0900-9584. Further details can be found calling at

Wheelchair Service Meeters and Greeters
This service helps you see off or welcome a passenger when
you find it hard to walk. The yellow wheelchairs can be
rent from the P1 and P2 car parks for a €2 deposit
at Schiphol Plaza. For more details on semi-disabled passengers'

Self-Service Check-In
Checking-in is even more comfortable when electronic by
means of the self-service facilities. There are self-service
check-in kiosks saving you precious time and helps you use
it in an entertaining way. Eating, shopping or simply reading
a magazine is now in hand with self-service check-in. to
