Coffeeshops
Tips for visitors

The coffeeshop enjoys a great location, right next to Leidseplein. It is somehow different than the rest of the coffeeshops in town, as it changes the crowded, suffocating aspect for large spaces, open door atmosphere resembling rather a pub than a classic coffeeshop. Indoors or outside, on the terrace, you can relax your feet and mind and have a comfortable place anywhere you want or shoot some pool at the pool table set in the coffeeshop. For a total of approximately 100 visitors at the same time, The Rookies offers almost any drink you want, from beer to any hot and cold drink you can think of.

The Rookies may be great as a pub, but it is even greater as you can also smoke pot inhere. If you choose to buy there, prices are affordable plus you get a joint-holder every time you buy stuff. This way, you don't have to worry about ruining it if you want to keep it for later, you just preserve it in the joint-holder and there you have it!

Another appealing aspect at The Rookies is the music. Upbeat tones, like Van Morrison, and even Massive Attack place The Rookies in the authentic range of coffeeshops here in Amsterdam, meaning to create a veridical state of mind not just an attractive setting for the curious.
Next-door to the Rookies you can find a cozy, small dimensioned hotel and a souvenir shop.
The coffeeshop can be visited daily from 10 a.m. til 1 a.m. on weekdays and from 10 a.m. to 3 a.m. in weekend.
