Amsterdam Transportation
Editor Notes

Amsterdam > Transportation > City Buses

Bus services in Amsterdam are, generally, complementary to trams. People in Amsterdam use buses to reach destinations in the suburbs and around the city. An important option to transportation consists in the night bus service offered by GVB, covering destinations in Amsterdam Central Station, Leidseplein and Rembrandtplein and further into the charming metropolis. Night buses can be available from 12.30 a.m. until early morning and arrive every 30 minutes. Similarly to day transport, night bus services have different charging options, depending on passengers needs. Tickets for single journeys can be acquired from GVB drivers for €3 with 90 minute validity. Cards for 12 journeys with night buses cost up to €25, while passengers can also choose cards including a 24-, 48- or 72- hour period transportation enabling them to travel with any of the buses available.
