Getting Around Amsterdam:
Amsterdam's true spirit can only be experienced walking
or bicycling, as it is often claimed. Much of what is considered
worthy of being seen in Amsterdam is located in the core
of the city, which makes it easier for tourists to visit
it by foot. Locals, however, prefer their bicycles to get
around, as driving may turn into a real torment, especially
within the canal ring. Visitors are also recommended public
transportation, which makes it easier to find the right
destination and arrive in due time.
